Great little gem in Gumbet. Enjoyed our stay at Serpina. Didn’t know what to expect but it was just the right size hotel and facilities we wanted for a quick week away. The staff are amazing and they last minute found a room for our son to join us. Thank you!!! He had a great holiday and even joined in the Karaoke to our surprise ( so did I to my surprise!!). Rooms are fine- no complaints other than we were close to the bar area and it’s really noisy from other guests until early hours! I’d prefer to be away facing the rear garden if we return. Breakfast great, as well at the drinks and service we received!! Thank you! 🫶. .

An amazing trip at a fantastic hotel - outstanding place!. Just packing ready for another stay at the lovely Serpina, and realised I completely forgot to do a review for our last stay here, so here goes! I spent a week here with my teenage daughter Carys in July. I had previously stayed in Bodrum City, but wanted to try Gumbet this time so we could reach Bodrum and Bitez easily. I booked the Serpina as it had great reviews, looked beautiful in the pictures and was in a great location - very central to Gumbet and the beach, but away from the crowds and noise of the bars and clubs. I saw it was adults only, but that didn't really influence my decision to book there. However, in hindsight that aspect was a huge plus - not only does it make it quieter, it makes the whole atmosphere more relaxing and serene. Being able to float around the lovely pool without screeching/ splashing/ having balls kicked at you was a huge plus. After 6 children, child free is exactly what I will look for now my youngest is 18! Check in/ arrival and first impressions We arrived late but check in was friendly and efficient We paid for the air conditioning at check in as it was mid July and very hot! The pool area, interior and garden are even prettier in real life - just gorgeous and beautifully maintained The soft lighting used inside and out, and little touches like the garden/ swinging seats create a really peaceful and relaxing ambience - it's like a little oasis Even though the facilities are great, it is quite a small hotel which is a plus - less walking around trying to find things/ getting to the pool in the heat! Also makes it easy to nip back to your room if and when you need to There is a quiet area with lovely soft lighting and lots of books to borrow/ swap Lovely bar area selling very reasonably priced drinks Location is perfect - central but quiet, shops and a cashpoint are just a few steps away and the beach is just a couple of minutes walk from the back gate in the garden Near the dolmus stops for Bodrum or Bitez, lots of taxis around too - we never waited more than a couple of minutes for one Rooms: Basic but spotlessly clean with everything you need, including pool towels Plenty of hanging and storage space, lovely big bathroom Lovely little balcony area with seating I requested a quiet, ground floor room if possible which was kindly accommodated The aircon in our first room wasn't working very well, this was completely sorted out within 20 minutes of me mentioning it to Engin by moving us to the room next door - very impressive Aircon in second room was excellent and very easy to use -well worth the 40 euros paid Food I was very impressed that breakfast was included, made it even better value There was always something we liked there, cereals, yoghurts, fruits, eggs, We had a late lunch at the Serpina most days - food was always fantastic and very good value for money. The chicken wraps and Lamb kebab were especially good! In fact, the food quality, service and price was better than any of the other restaurants we ate at whilst there as well as more convenient The drinks and cocktails were also very nice and reasonably priced - I recommend the iced coffees in particular! The staff offer a waiting service around the pool area - this was great as the staff had the perfect balance of being available to order drinks if you wanted to without being too pushy if you didn't Engin usually arranged bingo in the bar area at around 4pm, this was great fun! Again, there was never any pressure to join in The staff reading out the words of all the number combination had us in stitches There was also karaoke one night Pool and Surroundings The pool is amazing - was a perfect temperature and never too crowded We were always able to get a sunbed, although there were the usual few who liked to use towels to reserve the best spots then disappear for hours The hotel seemed to manage this very well by not putting the sunbeds out till around 8am, however as always the odd one or two would be out there waiting with their towels A bit annoying as there are plenty of sunbeds for everyone, but as said this isn't the fault of the staff in any way as they do all they can to prevent this; and despite this beds were always available even later on in the day Staff As said, this hotel is beautiful, however the staff here are what makes it truly outstanding Engin is a true professional who leads his staff efficiently and respectfully, which results in a fantastic atmosphere and service for guests You can see they are constantly monitoring things to ensure guests are happy and have all they need, this pays off massively in terms of guest experience All staff there are fantastic - always quick and happy to help but never pushy. Always very friendly and entertaining but also respectful to me and my daughter I have travelled quite a lot, but never to the same place twice as there is a big world to see. However, our experience at the Serpina has changed that, we can't wait to return and hope to many times in the future. I've never been to a place with so many repeat guests, but now see why that is. My daughter Carys was so upset to leave she cried all the way to the airport - usually she finds travel quite stressful and looks forward to her home comforts so that alone says it all really! A big thank you to all the wonderful staff at the Serpina for their hard work and making our stay so enjoyable, we are so looking forward to returning tomorrow!. .

Lovely hotel. Absolutely loved this hotel, The rooms are clean. The building is well maintained and the staff are Absolutely amazing, They couldn't do more to make sure you are comfortable, It's also a great location with shops and the beach minutes away, Would highly recommend and we will definitely be booking again 😀. .

Great but some problems. The staff are amazing and they cater for all your needs, breakfast is also really good with a great selection. The daily bingo is great fun, the location is also good, but the pavements around the main roads to the shops bars etc are dangerous. The one problem at the hotel are the sunbed warriors up st 6.30 to put towels out the sun is on one side till late, one lady has had her towels on 4 sunbeds, 2 on one side of the pool and 2 on another, she only actually uses one of the set of 2 in the morning then moves to the other set in the afternoon, no one says anything or moves the towels.. .

Brilliant staff. Returned from another great 2 weeks at the Serpina. What makes this hotel are Ali, Engin, Mehmet and all of the brilliant staff. Nothing is too much for them. Everyone is made welcome whether you are a newbie or a returning guest like us.. .

Excellent. This is the 2nd year we have come to this hotel. I can’t believe how attentive the staff are and how welcoming they make you feel. Nothing is to much trouble and for a b&b they wait on you like an all inclusive. They make the whole holiday first class. .

Fantastic little gem. Booked with Jet2 for one week . Transfer to hotel very quick only three on a mini bus no waiting around . Hotel staff straight out helping with suitcases check in so quick within five minutes we were at bar having first drink . The staff are absolutely brilliant Ali , Engin , Serkan (apologies to every other member if I didn’t mention you ) . They really do make your experience fantastic , nothing is an issue for them . Breakfast was plentiful lots to choose from , relaxing not feeding time at the zoo . Quality was also good and presentation . You must try food in hotel really tasty chicken wraps etc . Very clean areas in lounge bar area with modern seating . Rooms clean really good shower and hair dryer and toiletries . Beds really comfortable . Mini fridge in room adequate wardrobe space . Rooms are not the largest however you only sleep in them . Balcony’s are small but cute to dry your swimwear . Ask at reception to keep your room if a later flight and we paid for aircon and safety deposit box . Do take your mosquito spray etc . The great thing about this hotel is that it is small cosy people are very friendly who stay here a lot and the staff take care of you . Next door is a medical centre over the road chemist and supermarket 1 minute walk . If you want to go into Bodrum and want a Taxi reception staff will get one to pick up at door . The only negative issue on some days certain guests were reserving sun beds all day and not using them . Or they would get up at silly o’clock (5.30) to put towels on . Overall though we had a fantastic week and would definitely return to this hotel .. .

Excellent food and drink, outstanding staff. After a two week stay we were reluctant to leave. We last stayed here six years ago, and many improvements have occurred, improvements include, upgraded sunbeds, rooms, decor, dining area and pool area and very good they are too. Once again, it is the staff at the hotel that make your holiday, while taking in the sun on your sunbed, staff are discreetly seeing if you need anything. All areas are spotless and clean, tables are cleared continuously and all the staff are friendly and helpfull. Food and drink at the hotel are reasonably priced and the food is exceptional, well prepared and presented, the two young chefs are excellent. We had a nice and relaxing holiday, and many thanks go to the exceptional staff, Ali, Engin and the team really made our holiday. Hotel is in a quiet part of Gumbet, however it is only a 2 - 5 minute walk to restaurants, bars, cafes and shops, ideally located. .

Fantasticly relaxed. Just back home after 2 weeks at the Serpina for the second time & a great big thank you to Memhet, Engin & the team for a fantastic holiday they just go the extra mile for your comfort I personally cannot thank them enough keep up the great work, I can’t wait to return. A hidden gem of a hotel with great staff.. The hotel is ideal for couples of all ages. Near the centre of Gumbet, but in a quiet location. Good restaurants, shops and bars within a ten minute walk. The food swerved in the hotel is of a good standard. It boasts a good size, clean, swimming pool. Rooms are big enough for two, have a decent bathroom, and probably the most powerful shower I’ve ever been in. The only negative, is the balconies are small, with two stools and a table, but you meet fellow guests around the pool. Finally the staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble, they work hard to make your stay great, and you do become part of their family. A special mention to Engin and his team, who ensure you’re refreshed as you laze around the pool. 5 star service, at 3 star prices.. .
