Disappointed with the rooms and maids, rest of staff great won’t be back.. The food was a good standard, the staff in the restaurant,bar and reception were good friendly and courteous. The restaurant good if a bit crowded.. They kept putting us outside to the pool bar for lunch, my wife has COPD,and found it to far to walk,it was to small and cramped for the amount of people staying there. The room maids were terrible, beds only made up once during our stay the tea,sugar,and milk was not replenished after the first day, the hotel around the rooms was too noisy with banging doors and shouting and quite dirty, and the lifts not big enough for a hotel of this size, and parking not enough spaces, in all needs all rooms refurbished..

Good location and breakfast. Pleasant place to stay found if you need laundry doing takes 4 days which wasn’t a problem for me as I stayed 5 weeks but it’s expensive. .

poor 2 star trying to be a 4 star.. Room size, location, the pool and poolside was great.. Room turndown needs massive improvements. i had to keep asking for fresh towels, no room clean 5 days out of seven. i gave up and told them not to bother. breakfast was fried up muck, some of it looked like it was left over from the day before. teenagers running up and down the corridor shouting at around 22:00-23:00 most nights not very relaxing. don't seem to trust anyone as there are refundable charges on almost everything, esp pool towels, safe key, gym key, adaptor etc. sauna was not working. bed seem old and well used..

Avlida hotel. George the head bar man was absolutely amazing, from the first day we arrived we were made to feel so welcome, throughout out stay the same level of experience and welcome everyday couldn't be faulted, george and his staff can't be faulted, keep it up guys 👍 😀. .

Positive aspects were overshadowed by several inconveniences during our stay.. The hotel has a 24/7 reception, allowing check-in at any time, which was very convenient. The rooms were clean, and the outdoor pools were well-maintained despite it being February and too cold for swimming since they are not heated.. Upon arrival, we had to fill out paperwork with our personal details ourselves at the reception, which took extra time—especially challenging as we were traveling with small children. The hotel has both outdoor and indoor heated pools, which initially excited us when we saw the sign near reception. However, upon visiting, we found the water temperature too low for any swimming, especially for children, which likely explained why the pools were empty. At dinner, we asked to take a bowl to our room to prepare instant baby porridge, which caused unexpected confusion—one evening we were allowed to take it, but the next day, we were denied. Additionally, neither the baby crib nor our beds had proper duvets, only a sheet, which was not comfortable. Extra blankets were stored in the wardrobe, but it would have been more hygienic and pleasant to have duvets with washable covers provided. The most unpleasant surprise was at breakfast. While the food was average in taste, all water and coffee were served exclusively in plastic cups with a strong chlorine-like smell. We tried several cups, but they all had the same unpleasant odor..

Thombs of Kings is just a 10-minute leisurely walk away.. Upon arrival, we had to fill out paperwork with our personal details ourselves at the reception, which took extra time—especially challenging as we were traveling with small children. The room we selected was connected by a door to another room, which we weren’t aware of, resulting in poor sound insulation. We were often awakened by normal conversations from the neighboring room. At dinner, we asked to take a bowl to our room to prepare instant baby porridge, which caused unexpected confusion—one evening we were allowed to take it, but the next day, we were denied. Additionally, neither the baby crib nor our beds had proper duvets, only a sheet, which was not comfortable. The reception staff was not very friendly, whereas the lady organizing excursions was always kind, approachable, and responded to our inquiries when no one was at the reception.
