Exceptional. cleanliness of the hotel, food is tasty and varied, flexibility in accommodation conditions, you can swap lunch and dinner. Pools and aqua zone, perfect location, the sea is 2 minutes walk from the hotel. The beach is clean and sandy. The best combination of price and quality. thank you, it was a wonderful holiday that exceeded my expectations. Thank you so much. We will come again next year.. .

Lovely hotel great staff, location and meals.. Hotel is beautiful, pools are great we had the small apartment and it was perfect for us. Great location next to the town and food had a good selection.. Kids club was under par. Wasn’t a kids club as much as a room with bad air in and some young transfers on their phones. I wouldn’t leave the kids there in their own..

Not vegetarian friendly, dated, unfriendly, and mediocre at best.. We arrived about 1am local time. No facilities open (to be expected) , but the hotel reception informed us there were sandwiches and fruit in our room. A good start. It went downhill from there. Our room was in a satellite apartment complex 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Not horrendous in the grand scheme of things, but annoying after a few days, traipsing back and forth for every meal, and to/from the pool and facilities etc. All the sandwiches left were meat based, which isn't great when some of our family are vegetarian. This was to become a theme throughout our stay. Every dinner there was rarely more than just 1 vegetarian option, excluding the salad bar. On one night of the week there were none. Many nights I resorted to just eating margarita pizza as everything else had meat in, even to pointless extremes of little slivers of bacon in pasta carbonara. I didn't think vegetarianism was that abstract of an idea? Especially when there was a dedicated gluten free area. Almost all the deserts had nuts sprinkled over them, entirely unnecessarily, which made deserts an issue for 2 of the 4 of us who have nut allergies, and the other 2 obviously not eating nuts to avoid transfer. We went half board so were expecting to pay for alcoholic drinks etc, but dinner was a huge scam. Diners were forbidden from taking ANY drinks in to the dining hall, and nothing was provided. You even had to pay additionally for table water. On one night we took in a half full water bottle that we'd bought the night before, and were rudely told by the restaurant manager to put it away as we couldn't have it. The facilities were as you'd expect in any large hotel on Cyprus, but seemingly uncared for. The 'kids club' advertised was a very run down room well out the way, where the poor girl running it was trying to do the best she could with what little there was (basically just colouring sheets and some board games). Paint and plaster were coming off the walls, and the completed kids colouring displayed seemed to be a few seasons old. Outside was a small playground, but the kids club and playground weren't really suitable for kids over 5. There was a large swimming pool but it's not heated and very deep, and after 10 minutes in it I started to lose feeling in my fingertips. My daughter's lips turned blue. The only saving grace here is that the beach is only a 2 minute walk down a dedicate boardwalk, but as it's a public beach, you have to pay for loungers / umbrellas. Our room was made up daily, but that's about where the cleaning stopped. We had to ask twice for the floor to be hoovered / mopped due to dust, but it wasn't ever more than cursory (see photo). Dust balls were everywhere in the room. We are a family of 4 with a 12yr old boy, 7 Yr old girl. We were given 2 double beds. The receptionist couldn't really understand why we asked for an additional bed, even when we said it wasn't really appropriate for mixed gender kids to be sharing a bed. Both the sofa bed and the additional fold out bed provided had mattresses that had clearly had significant usage and the sofa bed especially was basically 'v' shaped towards the middle. The only saving grace that prevented this from being a 1 star is the waiting staff in the dining hall, who are all incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. As were the 2 girls running the daily activity programme. The other entertainment was lacklustre at best, with the highlight perhaps being the kids magician, who despite being funny and quite good, spent half his show saying that he normally performed at better hotels for adults. Overall, I would DEFINITELY not come here if you are vegan, or vegetarian, and I wouldn't say it's anywhere near as family oriented as it markets itself.. .

Great location, views, food and service. Great location by a gorgeous large gently shelving beach, clear sea, ideal for swimming. Local shops and attractions. The pleasant unheated pool complex was expected, life guards on duty, lots of loungers, some are worn and require replacement and some parasols not working. Nice to see guests are requested not to reserve loungers with towels before breakfast! Staff are pleasant and helpful. Executive room had a double balcony and spa bath, lovely view of sunrise and sunset. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Room well serviced and issue with 1 item not working item promptly resolved by maintenance. Excellent range of food and ongoing replenishment with good service at the buffet restaurant, Greek & Italian restaurants and bar also with good service. Things winding down at the end of season, limited but good entertainment. Would be perfect if at least 1 pool was heated during the Autumn.. .

Lovely family holiday. Really nice hotel. Super clean and well looked after. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food buffet was fantastic. Locstion is perfect. Right on an incredible sandy beach and also walking distance from the town centre. Also short drive from lots of other lovely beaches if you want variety. Pool area is really jicr but pool water was very cold at the end of October but we were expecting that. Sea water was a surprisingly good temperature for swimming, and I'm usually not very good with cold water!. .

Average at best. Moderate offering, incorrect value proposition.. The Melissi is your typical 'all-in' family-style hotel. However, it lacks quality, attention to detail and is not customer or service-oriented at all. All is not lost though, the Melissi does have nuanced perks such as a great location, -some- comfortable sunbeds, great outdoor pools (incl. a small 'adults only' space), spacious rooms (incl. italian showerhead), and offers an OK overall experience (OK breakfast, OK cocktails, OK (public) beach access).. Let's cut to the chase: the real issue here is the value proposition and price-tag. At an affordable price, why not? But the Melissi is missing key points on quality and details in comfort (painful mattress, pillows, and bedding), cleanliness (public spaces, pool), breakfast (great variety on the continental side, but does not change enough daily and the 'hot' items are too UK focused, as well as subpar in terms of quality). Therefore, caveat emptor - I think we could have done better for the price, if we had done a little more research..
