Vacation. I had an excellent stay at the Occidental Sharjah Grand Hotel. The hotel is very well located, with a beautiful beach, clean and comfortable rooms, and high-quality facilities. The staff is professional, welcoming, and always available to make the stay pleasant. Special mention to Monir, who was exceptional throughout the stay: friendly, attentive, very professional, and always ready to help. His sense of service truly made a difference and greatly contributed to making our experience memorable. I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return without hesitation. .

Christmas in Dubai. It was a really great stay. Everyone is friendly, working really hard to make you feel happy and comfortable. Food is delicious, everything is clean and smelling nicely. Would definitely recommend.. .

Very good service for such price. We spent an excellent time here, the service and team is amazing, polite, helpful, the rooms quality might be better (scuffed furniture, dirty spots in the bathroom). It’s nice the hotel has a custom dinners with different countries cuisine. The beach is large and clean, seafront is extremely beautiful. As well there are public bus stops near, so you can easily get to Sharjah city, Dubai, even Abu Dhabi. We heavily suggest this hotel because of location and service.. .

Extremely Disappointing Stay, Terrible food, Terrible smell. We stayed at Occidental Sharjah Grand and were extremely disappointed with practically every aspect of the hotel. The only positive was the beautiful, warm sea, which really has nothing to do with the hotel itself. From the moment we arrived, we noticed a strong musty smell throughout the hotel. While dirt was not highly visible, the odor was overwhelming and unpleasant. The rooms were standard, but the air conditioning was absolutely terrible—so loud that sleeping was impossible. Automatic temperature control did not work at all, and after trying it for several days, we stopped using it entirely. The view from the room could have been nice, but balconies were constantly covered in droppings from nesting pigeons. Drying clothes on the balcony meant they would get soiled. We had a “better room” with a sea view, but the balcony was unusable. Despite visiting the reception four times to request a room change to the ground floor, we were told it was being worked on, yet nothing was done during our entire 8-day stay. One receptionist, Harun, even avoided us when we approached, forcing us to explain everything again to other staff members. The smell in the room was so strong that after returning home, my wife had to wash our clothes four times to remove it. The sports bar also repeatedly smelled of garbage, while the main restaurant was the only place without odor issues. Food was another disaster. We booked all-inclusive, but meals were mostly inedible. Almost everything was over-spiced with strong Indian herbs and curry, including plain rice. Only once during lunch did we have a normal dish—roast duck. The selection was extremely limited, usually only 3–5 main dishes besides salads or garnishes. Our children mostly survived on fries with ketchup, and we had to order McDonald’s or simple pizza nearby because they were hungry. The “Italian night” was beautifully set up outside on the beach, but the food served was completely unrelated—kebabs and Russian-style beef instead of pasta, pizza, or traditional Italian dishes. Other themed evenings were equally disappointing. The pool was okay, but bar service was poor. Staff were often absent, and we had to wait long periods for drinks. Beach towels were given early in the morning and had to be returned to staff, meaning you could not keep them in your room. The beach sand was contaminated with cat feces, with cats freely roaming, sitting on loungers, or leaving waste nearby. In short: Sea: beautiful View: ruined by birds and balcony droppings Smell: musty and overwhelming throughout the hotel and rooms Food: very limited, mostly inedible, over-spiced Staff: particularly reception, unhelpful Pool/Beach: poor service, cleanliness issues This hotel does not meet even 2–3 star standards anywhere else in the world. We will never stay here again. Absolute disappointment.. .
